Detroit Paras Growing
The membership campaign at the Detroit Federation of Paraprofessionals – Local
2350 is off to a great start.
The new organizing fellow, Rose Kirtz, in her first week has signed up ten new
members. In addition, six former members have recommitted to local 2350
by updating their account. Hiring
organizers from within our locals is working, membership is responding
favorably to the ask, coming from their peers.
Great work.
MCCFO Supports UAW Strikers
Continuing the long list of AFT Michigan locals supporting UAW strikers, the Macomb Community College Faculty Organization (MCCFO) reached out an area UAW local and asked what was needed. Now MCCFO is asking its members to donate everyday items like food, paper products, etc. MCCFO will collect these items and deliver them to the picket line. Great Solidarity.
