AFT Michigan and MEA are joining forces to support our member and incredible House Education Appropriations Chair, Regina Weiss. Her primary race is on August 6, and we need all hands on deck to ensure voters know Regina is a true friend of public education. She has fought tirelessly for AFT Michigan and MEA during her time in the legislature securing historic funding for Michigan students and restoring bargaining rights to Teachers. Please spare a couple hours next week for a fighter who’s stood with us every step of the way.

Latina/o Workers Leadership Institute – September 26-28, 2024
The Latina/o Worker Leadership Institute invites all workers, union or non-union, and activists from allied organizations to share ideas and grow skills for responding to the challenges facing Latina/o working persons and learn about Latina/o culture. We welcome participants from all genders and all cultural or ethnic backgrounds. With nine workshops plus a new program for kids, the Latina/o Workers Leadership Institute offers something for everyone.
