The AFT is launching the AFT Book Club Series in 2024, a pioneering initiative in collaboration with Share My Lesson and the Albert Shanker Institute.

Starting in January, each month will bring you an evening of inspiration, intellect and innovation, putting the power of words center stage. We kick off with none other than the inaugural poet and activist Amanda Gorman with AFT President Randi Weingarten for the first session of the AFT Book Club Series. Register your Kids for Youth in Unions at Black Men in Unions 2024 Conference

Just one month away from the Black Men in Unions 2024 conference, running from Thursday, February 8 through Sunday, February 11, 2024. This year’s BMIU conference has ten incredible workshops to choose from and will be held at Somerset Inn in Troy, Michigan.

One of the workshops offered is Youth in Unions, specifically for the children of BMIU attendees. This workshop is designed to teach our kids about the importance of unions and organizing. Creating the leaders of the next generation starts now!
