T-Shirts

If you have not already reserved one of our “Value Educators / Respect Students / Fund Our Schools” red t-shirts, you can still do so by emailing your name and the size you need to jrowe@aftmichigan.org. They are $10 (cash or check to MEA or AFT Michigan) and will be available for pickup at the Lansing Center starting at 10a.

Parking

Downtown parking near the march and rally is limited and will cost you at least $10-15. That’s why we are offering FREE satellite parking and shuttles to get downtown. From the East, you can park at MEA Headquarters (1216 Kendale Blvd., East Lansing, MI 48823), which is a few minutes east of US-127 on Saginaw St.   From the West, you can park at the Lansing Mall Lansing Mall (5330 W Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917), a few minutes east of I-69/96. You can download a remote parking map here. Both are about a 15 minute shuttle ride to downtown and shuttles will run continuously starting at 9:30a.

Busses

Organizers have arranged for busses to come to Lansing from a variety of locations. For each bus, its individual schedule is listed and a contact is provided to reserve your space on the bus – spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to fill up.
