3) Conservative Think Tank, register by this Friday
Next week, the Mackinac Center will host an event titled, “How to Mitigate the Damage Caused by Michigan’s New Minimum Wage Hike and Why More Labor Reforms Are Necessary” in the Anderson House Office Building.
The event will feature the Heritage Foundation’s James Sherk as he discusses ways to minimize the effectiveness of the recent minimum wage increase and ideas to weaken government employee unions.
Partners that would like to send members that support the minimum wage and/or their union are urged to register and attend so that the voices of working people will be heard.
The event is open to the public, includes lunch and is free. Registration ends this Friday at noon. Members of your organization that would like to attend can register here.
Progress Michigan will be working to provide a counter voice to this conservative event and would appreciate your assistance. We would love to fill the room (capacity is 150) with as many people who oppose Sherk’s message as possible.
