On Wednesday, May 23, AFT members in districts across Michigan took part in the national “Wear Red for Public Ed” movement by staging a series of walk-ins, entering their buildings together while wearing red. The walk-ins were intended to highlight the message being shared by school employees around the country: “Value Students, Respect Educators, Fund Our Schools.” Thank you to Eastpointe, Detroit, Hamtramck and Michigan ACTS for participating.
