Members of the Macomb ISD Federation of Paraprofessionals, Local 6216, including President Jeff Whittle, met with State Representative Sarah Roberts at her recent Coffee Hour at the Saint Clair Shores Senior Center.
President Whittle had this to say:
The hot topic around the table was Michigan’s crumbling roads and is the Michigan legislature going to be able to get something done. Sarah is not in favor of the bill that takes money away from schools and to pay for roads.
As the Legislature works to find a solution to our roads problem, AFT Michigan’s members will be asking legislators to stand up for students and teachers and protect our public schools.
