Claiming they were required to do so by the Affordable Care Act, MSU Administration unilaterally cut negotiated health care benefits for graduate assistants. ACA makes no such requirement. GEU members demonstrated before the August 29 Board of Trustees meeting with three GEU activists addressed the Board, calling on the Administration to either negate the cuts or bargain with the local to make graduate assistants whole. Unilaterally changing the contract is both a grievance and an unfair labor practice.
