Northern Locals Working with Community Partners to Distribute Books

AFT locals across northern Michigan are doing an amazing job getting books into classrooms, community centers, libraries and other locations they are needed to support literacy. Clare/Gladwin, Crawford Au Sable, Fairview, Glen Lake, Hale, Kingsley, Les Cheneaux, Onaway, Rudyard and Whitefish are all running programs and hosting community events. This workshop shares brain research that shows that emotion plays a key role in learning and how to apply the findings in day-to-day interaction with students.
