Hello League of Extraordinary Educators!
1) Last nights food, fun and PAC phone calling went well, we called ~400 people and got 15 PAC commitments! (& crossed off a lot of outdated numbers for retirees!) Woot!!
2) Late last night, Cesar Chavez Academy Teachers (CCA Acts) got a Tentative Agreement (TA) Woot!! Woot!!! Early morning celebration http://LinkPl.us/EarlyMorningCelebrationWithCAA
3) Sunday: for a number of years AFT Michigan has marched in the Motor City Pride parade.
The parade this year is this Sunday, June 8. It kicks off at 11 a.m. at Fort and Griswold. The march goes to Hart Plaza.
It is a smaller parade so one just needs to arrive at 10:45. We will have our banner. We traditionally have marched with our sisters and brothers in UNITE HERE.
I know this is late notice but I hope some are able to join us on Sunday.
